Experimental Study and Numerical Calculation of Projectile Dynamic Engraving Process

Abstract The high temperature and pressure gas in the combustion chamber pushes projectile towards muzzle during firing of gun. belt is squeezed deformed by forcing cone. In order to study dynamic engraving characteristics projectile, a short-barrel gun launcher was designed for experimental research. dynamics base curves process were obtained. Based on loading conditions, J-C elastic-plastic model used numerically simulate copper elastic belt. deformation change resistance after studied intrusion displacement obtained numerical calculation compared with results are consistent.
